The New Orbit Double Helix - How does it compare?

Updated on February 26, 2013

Most adaptable double stroller on the market?

The Orbit Baby Double Helix is finally here! Well in the US anyway. Sadly, not to be seen in the UK until next Summer.

The Orbit Double Helix was announced last year and since then has gained an following of parents eager to get there hands on it. Why? Well the Double Helix is the only double stroller 2 SmartHub Rings (as Orbit Baby calls them) which can interdependently rotate 360 degrees. This give a massive flexibility when i comes to positioning your children. There is also a range of different seat units available from infant bassinets and car seats through to stroller seat. Making it suitable for a growing family.

Every body seems to be after one - Jessica Alba has already been spotted with hers and Lilly Allen has been tweeting about its UK release. But does it live up to the hype and how does it compare to its rivals in the double stroller game?

Who is Orbit Baby?

Orbit Baby is the brain child of Bryan White and Joseph Hei both designers who wanted to create products that looked better as well as working smarter. As a very Eco friendly company Orbit Baby ,along with maintaining the industry high standards of safety, also aim to create greener products in "safe-for-us, safe-for-our-planet practices". They have just launched the G2 in the UK and are expecting alot of interest.

Can the Orbit Double Helix live up to hype?

Cheaper alternatives to the Double helix Stroller

The Orbit Double Helix is undoubtedly an amazing piece of design and technology, but with the price tag attached it put's itself out of the reach of most parents. If your wallet won't stretch quite that far then don't worry. Here are a couple of brilliant double strollers with a more down to earth price tag.
